Elsa excels at Birmingham National

Elsa, Ch Debbeacol Pride And Joy JW, kept her winning streak on a roll by taking the Veteran Class at Birmingham National Champ Show. She then entered the bitch challenge and was awarded the RCC from judge John Ritchie. Then along with this, she was awarded Best Veteran in Breed.

We decided then to stay back, as she had now qualifed for the Pastoral Veteran Group and looked an absolute picture as she entered the Best in show ring, taken in by Colleen Stead who had stepped in to help due to Linda having other commitments this week.

Elsa took it all in her stride as she normally does, showing like the professional she is and was clearly enjoying every minute in the spot light, and was awarded Grp 4 by judge Tammas Jakkel.

Colleen and I couldnt take the smiles off our faces which made the long drive home all the more sweeter.

One critique from John Ritchie brought a tear to my eye.:

MRS D WEIGHTMAN - CH DEBBEACOL PRIDE AND JOY JW * RCC BV

cant remember seeing this lady before and she really caught my eye when she entered the ring, completely balanced and very correct in most departments, has such a sweet femine head with expression to die for, darkest of eyes and excellent for pigment, moderate neck, so correctly balanced for front and hind angulation, with correct mature body length and ribs, lovely tail set and carriage, she was completely sound out and back and showed real drive and reach on her side gait, she was in such fabulous well textured coat, she pushed the youngsters all the way and in a great bitch line up fully deserved her Res CC – pleased to see her placed in the Veteran group as well- what a lovely day and she looked as though she enjoyed every minute, top class Beardie
