Top Veteran 2016

Despite having the 8 puppies, we kept going to the odd show, collecting honors along the way. We ended the year at the Bearded Collie Club Championship show where we held a retirement party for Elsa.

This girl owes me nothing. She has been a star to live with and an even bigger star in the Ring. Collecting her champions title 4 CC's 7 RCC's 2 BOB's Best in Show both as an adult and as Veteran on several occasions. She has won numerous stakes classes winning money & Prizes, has been a delight to show both for myself and those that have helped whilst i was injured.."just a point and shoot" as someone referred to it as they took her in the ring once.

She was best Veteran in the UK last year and ends 2017 yet again best Veteran...a prize i am so proud to be picking up at Crufts 2017 where she will be shown one last time. She her self has produced a champion in Hannah - Debbeacol Harmony in Motion,

She will be missed by many in the ring and i will miss showing this easy going champion girl, we have had a lot of fun in her 9yrs, but we have decided to bow out having achieved so much its good to end on a high.

Below are just some of her recent critiques, many brought a tear to my eye

EBCC her 1st CC Judge Mrs Margaret Harkin, Claudalla

the star of the show today, what a super bitch, I just fell in love with her from the moment she walked in the ring, beautiful feminine head and expression , she is very hard to fault having complete balance, combining strength with quality, shown in top condition complemented by a well presented coat, her free flowing movement impressed me in both classes , I felt she was worthy of the CC and am sure will gain her title in the near future.

Birmingham Dog society judge Mrs Angela Pedder, Caldermist

Limit Bitch 1st her 2nd CC

Loved this beautifully balanced, ultra feminine dark slate girl of 4 years who commanded my attention from the moment she walked into the ring. She has the prettiest of heads of correct proportions with the most melting expression from dark eyes and pigment being among her many attributes. She is so well put together with correct length to height ratios. Moved out with style and covered the ground easily with a supple, fluid stride confirming her sound construction in all departments. Just the right amount of well prepared coat completed a very nice picture indeed. This young lady was in sparkling form today and in the challenge, I just couldn’t get past her. Well deserved CC.

City of Birmingham Limit Bitch 1st 3rd CC & Title BOB Judge Mrs Bryony Harcourt-Brown, Orora

Got a shiver down my spine when I went over this little bitch who won under me as a youngster. Lovely construction throughout and well balanced. She has a gorgeous line to her neck and shoulder that is a relief to go over, as it is what I expect but rarely seem to find when judging. Level topline, good tail set, strongly angulated rear and moved soundly and freely with reach and drive. I particularly liked her elegant line when moving, all the way from nose to tail. In gleaming coat and sufficiently bodied. I loved her. CC and BOB, now a Champion, Congratulations.

EBCA judge Mr Alan Stevens, Whistbrae

Veteran Bitch 1st BVIS

7 year old. Correct eye colour & pigmentation. Well laid shoulders & length of body coming from rib. Well developed second thigh & low hocks. Good quality coat. Covered the ground well. Pleased to see her go BV

Birmingham Dog Society Judge Mr John Ritchie, Dykebar/Hollibell

Veteran Bitch 1st RCC BV

cant remember seeing this lady before and she really caught my eye when she entered the ring, completely balanced and very correct in most departments, has such a sweet femine head with expression to die for, darkest of eyes and excellent for pigment, moderate neck, so correctly balanced for front and hind angulation, with correct mature body length and ribs, lovely tail set and carriage, she was completely sound out and back and showed real drive and reach on her side gait, she was in such fabulous well textured coat, she pushed the youngsters all the way and in a great bitch line up fully deserved her Res CC – pleased to see her placed in the Veteran group as well- what a lovely day and she looked as though she enjoyed every minute, top class Beardie

Welsh KC Judge Steve Hall Veteran Bitch 1st RCC BV

I loved this bitch and when she gaited around the ring it was sheer delight to watch, she truly is a pride and joy. She had the correct ratios that were near perfect for me with lovely ribbing, good head balance with a feminine expression but to be critical I would like her a little stronger in foreface, after saying that I would have taken her home, presented in good order.

SKC Judge John Walsh Veteran Bitch 1st RCC

nice size & substance, in good coat & condition with balanced head, correct bite, good pigmentation well placed ear & eye. Good reach of neck & good topline. Angulations are good as is the movement. RCC & BV

what a classy lady! Shown in lovely coat & bloom she belies her 8 years. She has lovely head qualities with delightful & appealing expression & correct dentition. What a mover! Her movement & drive would put many of the youngsters to shame & she obviously still enjoys her time in the ring. Fills the eye as she comes into the ring. What a worthy title holder!

South Wales Kennel Association Judge Mr Albert Wight, Sharval

lovely bitch & such a worthy ch. Soft kind eyes brim full of intelligence, really well constructed, super shoulders, decent spring in rib & well muscled & coated. Moved out easily & with purpose

SKC Judge Chris Burscough Veteran Bitch 1st RCC

Nearly 9 years old going on 2! This dark slate pretty bitch oozes femininity. Gorgeous head and dark eye, difficult to fault all through. Well angulated and well ribbed back and nicely moulded croup with well set tail. Your hands flow over her and she never fails to give her best. In gleaming coat and condition she is a real credit to her owner handler who also bred her. Just asked for the RCC and couldn’t be denied.

SKC Judge Ellen Sullivan Veteran Bitch 1st CC 4th BOB/BV Grp 4

A young nine year old lady whom I have done well for in the past. She still commands the ring, still moves beautifully, still has a good topline and still has everything else in the right places … I believe she may be evergreen! I was more than happy to award her the BCC against some stiff competition, and BVIB, and she went on to win Group 4 and BVIS.

City Of Birmingham Canine Association Judge Mr Barrie Croft, Malcro

Veteran Bitch 1st RCC BV Vet Grp 3

9 year old & proof all really good pastoral breeds are not at their very best till 7 & over, she is 9 but no one had told her! In the most amazing form & you don’t look like that without lots of love & care, suits me perfectly for size breed type overall shape & balance loved the way she looked down her nose at me when I opened her mouth. Excellent bite & they are white. The most wonderful typical feminine expression, loved everything about her & boy can she moved, smooth free easy & ground covering the wet ring did not bother her on bit! Special I would say & at 9 I would guess never looked better. One I will remember.

BCC of Scotland Veteran Bitch 1st BVIS Judge Margaret Harkin

What more can I say about this beautiful girl, four years ago I gave her the CC, her 1st & has never looked back, she has the most outstanding character & at 9yrs looks as if she could keep going all day, love her type & style, a lady to be proud of, BVB & BVIS

No one could be prouder than me to have bred such a worthy Champion, A Lady A Joy, A Princess.xxxx
